Staying true to our commitment to supporting the younger generation and promoting sports and inclusion, we continue the successful Champs Academies CSR program for the second consecutive year in Athens and Thessaloniki, and expanding for the first time to Nicosia.
As part of the program, this year we will support six distinguished basketball academies that have left their mark on the history of the sport in Greece and Cyprus, currently training over 2,000 young athletes.
The 2025 Champs Academies program proudly supports the Academies of A.O. Triton, A.O.N.S. Milon, A.S. Papagou, 10A Academy, YMCA of Thessaloniki, and Keravnos Strovolou.
The program, running from February to May includes:
- Six “Champs Tournaments” for over 280 young athletes.
- Educational workshops focusing on emotions, health, and well-being, engaging at least 360 parents.
- The Grand Final Tournament in Thessaloniki, where young athletes from Athens will meet their peers from Thessaloniki for a two-day event dedicated to sportsmanship and fair play.
This year, the program also takes on an even greater mission: to empower more than 60 young athletes on the autism spectrum, creating a supportive environment through specially designed inclusion training sessions, benefiting both children and their families.
“We are especially proud of the new cycle of the Champs Academies program, which fully embodies our philosophy of being a responsible corporate citizen that champions inclusion, respect, and sportsmanship. We are confident that this year’s program will be just as successful as the first, and we warmly welcome all participants,” stated Stavroula Fili, Head of Corporate Communications & CSR at Campeόn Gaming, during the official launch event on Thursday, February 13, at the YMCA “Mimis Tsikinas” Sports Center in Thessaloniki.
The successful implementation of Champs Academies is greatly supported by coach and former international basketball player, Giorgos Kalaitzis.
Through Champs Academies, Campeόn Gaming remains dedicated to nurturing young athletes, promoting inclusion, and fostering the values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
